THE CRIMSON MAFIA
(Drama—Inspired by a True Story)
A former Federal Prosecutor turned Priest discovers his Superior abusing a young altar boy. He blows the whistle, gets fired, sues the Church -- and is the first Priest to win in court against the Church. But, is it justice when someone reports the truth and becomes the victim for blowing the whistle?

A compelling drama based on a true story about. Father Paul Carruso happens upon Father Bentoni abusing an altar boy in the church hallway. He reports Bentoni to the Archbishop and becomes victimized when he is fired.

Carruso's dedication to justice for the young boy and himself remained unyielding. Little did he know, his journey would bring many encounters with a secret sect within the Church known as the Crimson Mafia.

In spite of slander and numerous attempts on his life, Carruso filed

an unprecedented lawsuit against the Church. He was victorious in court but remains an outcast and "in-name-only" Priest. A riveting, modern day "David and Goliath" story.

The script has placed in nine contests. Three of those placements include:

A 2008 Bronze Remi Award from Worldfest,

Semifinalist in Moondance

Semifinalist in Writer's on the Storm.
