ABOUT

After graduating with a B.A. in Theater from UCLA, Julia Bergeron wrote and produced the play, “RelationSLIPS.” The L.A. Weekly deemed it “charmingly loopy” and “subtly wacko” (a description that describes the author as well.) That knock-out review helped the play close in the black. In L.A.

Julia also studied at The Groundlings through the advanced level, writing and appearing in many sketches and improvs. She has also written and performed with several comedy troops including LOL which had a sold out run at the Improv.

She won the 2006 AWG Best Pitch of the Day for “Pecking Order” - a comedy about an overprotective pet store owner (think Jack Black) who has to stop an attack on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Although she has a performing background, Julia’s heart lies in writing screenplays. She is currently working on a couple of spec scripts, including the thriller “Taking Aim” and the comedies, “Pecking Order” and “Fakation.”

Julia is also the AWG's Coverage Exchange coordinator.
