Doug Miller is a graduate of Cal State L.A. with a MFA degree in literature and music.  His incredibly checkered past includes stints as a producer of high security locking devices (very Mission Impossible), Vice President of a Media Buying Service (very accountant-boring), and an actor with numerous TV and movie credits (All in the Family, Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, Burke's Law, Maude, One Day at a Time, Carter Country and more) and numerous regional theater roles (Captain Von Trapp, the King of Siam, Alfred P. Doolittle, Daddy Warbucks and many others—not bad for a klutzy bald guy with big ears).

For the past few years, Doug has focused on writing. (Okay, he was first published at age twelve, but that was serendipity.)

He won one of the prizes in the Indie Producer contest in 2003, and was a finalist in Austin Heart of Film, and several others. He currently reads for a couple production companies and screenwriting contests, and moderates two 10-page SIGs through Alameda Writers Group not to mention the famous Zoom Out! story structure SIG. (If you want to figure out how to make your story work or why your current story doesn't work, this SIG is for you.)
